Seven strangers barricade themselves inside a Pennsylvania farmhouse as the recently dead walk the fields outside. Romero shot it for pocket change and released it without a copyright notice — which accidentally gave it to everyone, and is exactly why a lakebed streaming service can screen it fifty-seven years later.
